Fees are agreed with your counsellor at the outset. Typically fees range between £45 – £60 per session, but there is a subsidy available for those clients who are unable to pay the full fees subject to funds being available from the Charity’s Subsidy Fund. You can ask your counsellor about this.
Sarum Counselling is a registered charity, no. 1083255. Nonetheless, all clients make financial contributions to the cost of providing their counselling. People who are in work usually pay the full amount. Those on benefit or in financial difficulties may contribute less. The actual amount is negotiated in each case with the counsellor and reviewed regularly.
Sarum Counselling endeavours to seek funding to subsidise counselling for those on low incomes. We maintain a modest fund to enable counsellors to provide reduced fee counselling for those for whom counselling would not be possible at the full fee. We have benefitted from funding from:
- Mrs Tindall’s Charitable Trust
- The Community Foundation for Wiltshire and Swindon
- The Co-operative Community Fund
- Glastonbury Festival
Our counsellors contribute part of the fees received towards the running of Sarum Counselling.
